Photography has been a part of my life since I was a kid. My parents ran a photography business and stepping into the hobby was natural for me. My original interests lay mostly in nature and wildlife photography. Since film was plentiful, along with good teachers right there and an available darkroom, my learning curve was shortened dramatically.
Born and raised in Watertown S.D., my childhood included many hours outdoors. I find wildlife photography challenging since getting close and getting the shot are two different challenges. Spending time outdoors, getting close, watching animal behavior and trying to capture what you see as the light changes the scene definitely has a draw.
